Synopsis
The husband gives a name to a mannequin’s leg. His love for “Kazumi” soon turns obsessive, eventually surpassing his feelings for his wife. An “aberration” brought into their cold, deteriorating marriage exposes the true nature of their relationship in this human suspense drama.
Director’s Statement
We lie while thinking of someone else, conceal ourselves, and still find ourselves reaching for some form of truth.
Though this story grew out of fetishism, what I am ultimately portraying is a couple.
Living with another person is something that feels ordinary in this world.
And yet, it is a deeply strange and tender act—at once absurd, unequal, and unbalanced.
Still, why do people choose to live with someone else?
This is the question I have embedded within this story.
