About This Game

The player spends seven days in “CultureHouse,” a housing and research facility once occupied by a now-vanished biochemist. As they do, they raise a lifeform called “Genio.”
As you talk to visitors with connections to CultureHouse, observe odd events throughout the facility, and raise Genio, your once-calm life will morph into something more and more bizarre.

The story ends with either the player’s death or the end of the world, but begins again on day one with the player’s initial visit to CultureHouse. Genio will have grown and taken on another form based on the player’s choices.
While facing many ruinous ends, the player must use notes left by the biochemist and their conversations with visitors to unravel the tragedies that occurred at CultureHouse and the mystery connecting the world to Genio.

With CultureHouse, I wanted to create the experience of living in a building where a scientist who disappeared once lived, leaving behind many mysteries.
I belied that this kind of experience makes the most of the power of the interactive medium of computer games, while at the same time being a theme worth being taken on by an indie studio.
